Obviously this next paragraph is a couple of years old. I will update it soon.
A lack of Secretin produced by the body is the latest hypothesis/theory about causes of or treatments for Autistic Spectrum Disorders, of which PDD is a member. It is interesting to me because just last month I was talking with my developmental pediatrician about what the latest theories are since she was not necessarily agreeing (nor necessarily disagreeing) with Dr. Shaw (she is not a big fan of Dr Shaw's work, which I am and so is her associate). We discussed the Secretin theory, and then within a month, it starts appearing in the news. I am glad that this type of news is showing up on mainstream news programs. I wish more would. I wanted to get this page up quickly, but I am working on a major project, so for now, I am providing this page as a central links page to other pages on the subject. I will have more later.
